OS Name: Microsoft Windows 7 Professional In the Advanced Options I changed the 1080i bitrate presets to 8,000 average with a max of 10,000.Īny help would be MOST appreciated! Thanks! I'm using the default settings for mp4 except I changed the Encoding Mode to Double pass and knocked down the bit rate to a max of 10,000 because it was making GIGANTIC files with the defaults. I'm in the middle of transitioning from iTunes to Kodi, so the iTunes issues aren't really that important, but seem to be another symptom of something weird going on. I used to make MKVs first and then transcode to mp4s using FreeMake, but with the H.264 issues from V4 fixed, I want to be able to use VRD for everything (FreeMake has limitations and Handbrake causes my computer to shut itself down). I've also tried making mp4s from YouTube videos instead of TiVo files and the same things happen. It seems to add the tags, but no changes are made to the file (Read and Write privileges are set for "Everyone") IDentify (mp4 tagger): loads the file, but won't save the tagged file. ITunes: won't import the video on Mac imports the video on Windows, but crashes iTunes when trying to play Mac OS X: shows no preview window in Finder, just the spinning wheel of "waiting" ![]() Some of the behavior, in no particular order:ĬCExtractor: won't extract a subtitle stream from closed captions It seems like the mp4s that VRD is creating aren't compliant with some other programs. Most of the time, I use VRD for converting TiVo files to mp4. I've been using VRD since V4, so I'm not entirely a noob on it. Resolves issue #139.Improved TagChimp search, especially for TV Shows.Hi all, first post here and I wish it wasn't for a problem! I've searched around and am not finding anything relevant for this. It's possible to change the H.264 profile/level to trick iTunes into syncing files to iPhone/iPad. If you need to edit metadata or add subtitles to a QuickTime movie, Subler is a useful if far from perfect app to start with.įixed a issue with the "Genre" tagFixed the handling of 64 bit files, sometimes Subler would create a 32bit file even if the "64 bit data" checkbox was enabledPrepopulate the Save panel of a new file with a default filename based on the filename of the first track added to the file.Read/write H.264 profile/level on video tracks. However, it doesn't seem to work with DivX files, even though MP4 is a container for the format. When the interface opens, you can see and edit clearly the audio language, metadata attached, format of the video and duration. ![]() ![]() I found that it crashed several times simply trying to open MP4 files so be aware that Subler can be quite unstable. It only opens when you open a video file. There is no user interface to Subler as such however.
